Installed TIPM, No Crank, Wipers come on and Head Lights Flash On and Off.

Open the lid to make sure all the fuses are pushed all the way down and fully inserted. You can also try disconnecting and uninstalling/reinstalling the unit to make sure the connections to the car are good ones.

I Installed my replacement ECM / PCM and I am still having the SAME issues

I Installed my replacement ECM /PCM and I am now having NEW issues

Most of the time, any new issues like new dashboard warning lights, will be cleared by performing the proper reset procedures. These procedures help your vehicle “forget” the old, obsolete error conditions that may still be in memory, or any new fault codes that are a mere artifact of a fresh module’s partial synchronization within your vehicle.

If you have already performed the reset procedures, and you are still getting brand new symptoms, then something clearly went wrong. Call us immediately and together we can reverse-engineer what might be happening. We should revisit your VIN# submission, your vehicle configuration, and the installation procedures you followed. If I purchase a TIPM on the internet can I replace it myself? And is it just plug and play?

Replacing the TIPM is very simple, if you can use a screwdriver you can replace the TIPM. We have videos on our website, that show how to remove the old TIPM, and put in the new one. Once the TIPM is replaced you will need to do a hard reset, this too is very simple, and we provide TIPM reset procedure instructions with each part we send out

How to do a Soft Reset?

These are the steps for doing a Soft Reset ( do several of them before starting ):

1. Get in your vehicle.
2. Put the key in the ignition.
3. Set it to run mode(just short of cranking the vehicle) for 12 seconds ( gotta be fairly precise with this so have a stopwatch on hand)
4. Turn off the vehicle.
5. Turn it on until it cranks and starts and you’re ready to go

It’s a very simple process that can be done quickly. If there are any persistent dash lights even after a couple days of driving then you can move onto a hard reset. Also a simple process, but you don’t need to worry because we ship all of our TIPMs with detailed instructions as well as a QR code that will take you to our YouTube channel where you can watch a lot of useful tutorials of how to uninstall/ install the TIPM as well as the reset process. Should only take about 10-15 minutes to uninstall and reinstall the TIPM.

What is a broken trace?

What is a short?

What is a vehicle soft reset?

What is a vehicle hard reset?

Cluster lights are on

If your cluster is lighting up like a Christmas tree and you are still running into error readings after your soft reset, your logic in the TIPM may not be communicating correctly and may need to get it cloned by us or configured by a dealer. See this video for more information.

Vehicle stuck in limp mode

Is your vehicle stuck in limp mode and wont switch gears? It might not be your TIPM. The problem may be that the Transmission Control Module is not communicating properly with your TIPM. This makes your TIPM think that there is an issue with your transmission and throws the vehicle into LIMP MODE or SAFE MODE. See this video for more information.
