As the main engine computer, a faulty ECM / ECU / PCM can result in significantly diminished engine performance, fuel economy, and difficulty or inability to start. Misfires, sluggish acceleration, and engine stalling are all symptoms of a potential ECM problem. A check engine light with or without these other symptoms can also point to a bad ECM. In Chrysler vehicles, Hard Starting is one symptom that is often confused between a bad ECM and a bad TIPM (fuse box) fuel pump relay. We have special expertise in ECMs
