MAKS Enterprises Warranty & Return Policy

Warranty Coverage
All items purchased from MAKS Enterprises come with a 1-year limited warranty covering repairs and limited exchanges. Extended warranties of up to 3 years are available at purchase for an additional cost. This warranty applies to all MAKS Enterprises products, including those sold through MAKS TIPM Rebuilders, MAKS ECM Rebuilders, and affiliate marketplaces.
Warranty Terms
MAKS warrants that all new and rebuilt items, as well as repair services, will be defect-free for one year from the date of purchase. Within the warranty period, MAKS will repair or replace defective items due to materials or workmanship failures. The warranty covers only integral failures of the item.
Exclusions include damage from:
- Accidents or misuse
- Modifications or improper installation
- Unintended use
- Powersports, off-road, or racing applications (where not intended)
- Environmental conditions including natural disasters
First Replacement: Covered under warranty.
Second Issue: The customer can choose one additional repair covered under warranty, or return the item as a rental.
Any Further Issues: The item must be returned as a rental.
Note: At any point, the customer can return the item as a rental instead of pursuing warranty options. Refer to the Rental Return section.
Warranty Limitations
- MAKS Enterprises is not liable for indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages.
- Labor, towing, and rental car charges are the customer’s responsibility.
- No other warranties, express or implied, are made, including implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
Warranty Termination
The warranty for installed vehicle parts shall terminate immediately if the vehicle is sold, ownership is transferred, or if the item is installed in another vehicle.
Product-Specific Policies
New and Like-New Items (“OEM by MAKS”)
These modules are either original OEM parts or have been modified using OEM components when new, unmodified OEM parts are no longer available. All modules undergo factory testing to ensure quality and performance.
First 90 days: MAKS will assess and repair the item if a defect is found. If a replacement is chosen over repair, we will exchange the item with a compatible rebuilt item.
After 90 days: MAKS will evaluate the item and, at their sole discretion, either repair it or provide a replacement with a compatible rebuilt unit.
Important: A $1 pre-auth fee is required to initiate a replacement request. The customer will be charged the full value of the original unit if its not returned within 30 days. Refer to the Warranty Returns section.
Rebuilt Items
Guaranteed to be free from defects in materials and workmanship.
First 90 days: MAKS will assess and repair the item if a defect is found. If a replacement is chosen over repair, we will exchange the item with a compatible rebuilt item.
After 90 days: MAKS will evaluate the item and, at their sole discretion, either repair it or provide a replacement with a compatible rebuilt unit.

Pre-Owned Items
Our pre-owned items are carefully inspected before sale.
First 90 days: MAKS will assess and repair the item if a defect is found. If a replacement is chosen over repair, we will exchange the item with a compatible pre-owned unit.
After 90 days: MAKS will evaluate the item and, at their sole discretion, either repair it or provide a replacement with a compatible pre-owned unit.
Important: A $1 pre-auth fee is required to initiate a replacement request. The customer will be charged the full value of the original unit if it’s not returned within 30 days. Refer to the

Repair Services
Repairs are guaranteed to be free from defects caused by materials or workmanship for one year. Only the performed repair is warranted. Subsequent failures unrelated to the repair are not warranted. If a repair is deemed unnecessary, only a test fee will be charged. Repair services are non-refundable.
Return Procedures
Important: For all returns excluding cores, the customer MUST contact customer service to request the proper return ticket. Returns without the proper ticket will NOT be processed.
Warranty Returns
Immediate Replacement (Rebuilt Only):
- A $1 pre-auth fee is required to initiate.
- Limited to ONE per module per vehicle.
- Customer is charged the full value of the original unit if its not returned within 30 days.
Standard Replacement (New & Rebuilt):
- A $1 pre-auth fee is required to initiate.
- We’ll test the original unit upon receipt and repair or replace it if necessary.
- If no issues are found, the customer will be responsible for all related shipping fees.
Replacement Warranty: If a product is replaced under warranty, the replacement product will be covered for 90 days from the date of exchange, or for the remainder of the warranty period, whichever is greater.
Rental Returns (within 30 days of purchase)
The rental period starts when customer receives the TIPM and ends when customer ships it back.
Fees:
- New: One-time fee of 25% of Module’s value covers the first 10 days. After that, $18 per day for up to 20 additional days (30 days maximum)
- Rebuilt: $120 one-time fee covers the first 10 days. After that, $12 per day for up to 20 additional days (30 days maximum).
- The maximum charge won’t exceed the full retail price of the ECM.
- TIPM will be inspected upon return; additional fees may apply for damage or missing components.
- Customer will be responsible for all related shipping fees.
Rental Refund Exception: Rental costs are fully refundable if the customer provides a receipt from a shop or dealership proving that replacing the unit resolved their vehicle’s issues.
Exchange Returns
We’ll send the customer the correct part.
- Customer is charged the full value of the original unit if its not returned within 30 days.
- If customer error, customer will be responsible for all related shipping fees.
- If the correct part is more expensive, customer to be charged the difference.
- If the correct part is less expensive, customer to be refunded the difference.
Cash Refund Conditions: Cash refunds will be provided only if a rebuilt replacement, or a repair is not possible.
Shipping Policy
From MAKS Enterprises:
- Free shipping within the US via FedEx Ground or USPS Priority Mail.
- Expedited or alternate shipping is available for an additional fee.
To MAKS Enterprises:
- Free return shipping label provided upon request for continental US customers.
- Label options: FedEx Ground or USPS Priority Mail.
- International customers are responsible for all shipping costs and fees.
Important: MAKS Enterprises is not liable for items delivered that are lost or stolen.
